I wonder why........

I wonder why Percy doesn't freak out at Tantalus. Tantalus is so mean, nasty, and unfair to Percy. When Percy and Annabeth saved the day, Tantalus punished them for messing up the race, even though it wasn't their fault. Also, Grover is Percy and Annabeth's friend, they should go on the quest to save him and the camp, but just because he doesn't like Percy, he is going to let Clarisse. If I were Percy and my friend was in trouble and asked him for a quest, then he gave it to someone I hate, I would at that point, use my powers to hurt Tantalus. I would do that because if my best friend were in trouble and the person who I hate went on the quest, how could I know that she is going to save them. Percy doesn't know if Clarisse is going to save Grover, for all he knows she is going to save the camp and get her name to be big, she doesn't care about Grover, but that's one of the main reasons Percy wants to go. I would have made sure that Tantalus was badly hurt and couldn't move if I were Percy. Another thing I wonder about, is why they let Tantalus in the camp in the first place. Yes, I know that Chiron was fired, but there are plenty of other creatures that could be the activities director. Tantalus organized a chariot race, even though they were banned because of deaths. Also, when the birds attacked the camp and ruin the race Tantalus blamed it on Percy and Annabeth saying that if they hadn't disrupted the race with their bad driving, the birds wouldn't have came, but they would have. So Annabeth and Percy got punished and they have to clean dishes with lava (they clean it with lava because it gets 99.9% of germs off it). So, if I were Percy, I would beat Tantalus up using my magical powers.

  1. What a great post, Chrissy. Did you do this as your sentence starter with Mr. LePauloue? I consider this to be a "connection to yourself" post, as you thought about Percy's actions and put yourself in his shoes.

  2. Thanks, and yes, this is my sentence starter we did with Mr. Lepauloue. I really would have gotten sick of Tantalus, he really would have annoyed me, I would have freaked out.

  3. I like how I felt the anger you were feeling when you wrote this. I can kind of relate of how you would feel if you were in Percy's shoes. I would probably react in the same way. ily! Good job!

  4. I think Percy wants to beat Tantalus to a pulp but he knows that he will get in more trouble if he does that. Great post.
